He Must Have Known...

Photobucket

A huge thank you to all of you beautiful people who participated in the first annual Steve Manthe Memorial Open. Even amongst the tears, we felt carried by all of the love you have shown not only this weekend, but the past year. My father would have been so incredibly proud.
As my brother was giving his speech at dinner on Saturday night, tears were shared around the room. I sat missing and wishing that my dad could have been there to hear Nathan's words. They were beautiful and I was so proud of him. It is something I don't think I could have done. I stepped outside after dinner and peeking through the trees I could see something amazing. I ran inside and grabbed Sabrena. We kicked off our shoes and laughing hysterically along the way, ran like mad women, full speed, through the entire course. When we got to the end, THIS is what was waiting for us. My eyes welled up with tears. It was the most beautiful pink painted sky. All I could think was he must have known we were missing him and he must have sent a little something to remind us that no matter where we are, he's always with us...

Much Love,
Krysta

Beautiful. Happy to hear that this went so well. Amazing work your brother did to make it happen.
Incredible sky. Your father will always be close by Krysta, unfortunately in a different way than he used to be. You have a special eye for the everyday beautiful, and you will always find him there, in the things you do everyday.
